Celebrities creating storylines where they weave in parts of their personal lives to sell and promote their upcoming projects is nothing new and in fact this practice is still going strong. On this episode of The F Words we dish about some of the stories in the headlines right now including one star that’s a frequent perpetrator of this…Taylor Swift.  Listen and tell us what you think! Send us a dm on Instagram or tweet us!

UPDATE Taylor Swifts dad was a shareholder here is info from Big Machine's site

Borchetta wrote on the Big Machine website, "Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, was a shareholder in Big Machine Records, LLC. We first alerted all of the shareholders on Thursday, June 20th for an official shareholder’s call scheduled for Tuesday, June 25th. On the 6/25 call the shareholders were made aware of the pending deal with Ithaca Holdings and had 3 days to go over all of the details of the proposed transaction. We then had a final call on Friday, June 28th in which the transaction passed with a majority vote and 3 of the 5 shareholders voting ‘yes’ with 92 percent of the shareholder’s vote."

😂😭😍❤️👉💜💕😊🤔🙏 these are just a few of the most popular emojis that people are using right now. With world emoji day taking place last week, The F Words hosts debate whether or not we could communicate without them in 2019. Does adding an emoji to a one word text, change the entire meaning of the message? Listen and tell us what you think!

On this episode of The F Words were paw-ndering if our adorable, cute, loveable dogs actually manipulate us. According to a new study, as dogs became domesticated from wolves, they evolved a muscle that raises their inner eyebrow, creating the “puppy dog eyes” that prompt a “nurturing response” from humans. Natasha falls for it, but does Anthony? And do our kids actually do this to us too? Listen and tell us if their manipulation tactics work on you

The True Meaning Behind the Unfollow

Is unfollowing someone on social media the new passive aggressive way of telling them how you really feel? That’s the question Natasha, Taylor and Anthony are diving into on this episode of The F Words. For some, it may be because they aren’t interested in being friends anymore, for others (like Anthony) they just aren’t interested in seeing cat and food content…Listen and tell us: do you take it personally when someone unfollows you? Do you even notice?

Recently Instagram started experimenting with a new feature where your followers wouldn’t see how many likes you get on your posts. Instagram said "we want your followers to focus on what you share, not how many likes your posts get." There are some people, like Anthony, who don’t think about how many likes they get, so they wouldn’t care about this change.  On the flip side, the entire Influencer industry is built on people seeing how many likes they get. On this episode Natasha, Taylor and Anthony get into if this change would benefit people’s mental health and why there’s an urge for validation when you get likes on your posts. Listen and tell us: would you like to see this feature implemented?

The Things You Really Shouldn’t Say

Remember that saying your parents told you over and over again growing up – “think before you speak”?  It seems like more and more some adults still need to hear it.  From asking someone if they’re tired, to assuming someone is pregnant and asking when they’re due, there are just some things you shouldn’t say to people. On this episode of The F Words, Taylor shares a personal story of when this happened to her and how she reacted. Listen and tell us: how do you respond to a rude comment?

Is age just a number?

According to data from OK Cupid the average ages that men and women are attracted to are quite different. The study shows that women are more attracted to men the same age, where men are more attracted to women significantly younger. On this episode we discuss whether or not we think this is accurate…Anthony certainly doesn’t think so.  Natasha and Taylor also both open about relationships that they’ve been in where there’s been a big age gap. Listen and tell us: is age important to you when you’re looking for a partner?

Everyone was going through their closets trying to figure out if certain clothes or household items still brought them joy. Fomo (the fear of missing out) is usually caused from constant scrolling on social media…seeing your friends having fun without you. It’s safe to say most of us have felt that before.  On the flip side, Jomo (the joy of missing out) is all about disconnecting and being who you are in the present moment.  On this episode of the podcast, Natasha, Taylor and Anthony chat about when they’ve felt both fomo and jomo. Listen and tweet us: which one do you feel more?

The Academy Awards are on Sunday so on this episode of The F Words – we’re talking all about the biggest night in movies. In an effort to speed up the show, it was announced some categories like cinematography and editing would be given out during the commercial breaks. After we recorded this podcast, the Academy decided to reverse its decision.  We discuss if what they had originally planned was fair, and also how the show will be without a host for the first time in 30 years.  And our love of A Star is Born continues as we try and figure out what went wrong for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper during Awards Season. Take a listen and let us know… will you be watching on Sunday and if so who are you rooting?

With Valentine’s Day coming up, we’re getting extra romantic on this episode of The F Words with a spirited debate (ahem…Natasha and Anthony) about binge-watching! Many of us binge shows with our partners and studies suggest watching together can bring you closer, creating a stronger connection and a feeling of belonging. Watching a show that your partner wants to watch is a simple way to show that you care…but it’s not always that easy.  Disagreements or fights can easily arise while bingeing your favourite show. Listen and tell us your experiences binge-watching with a loved one.
